Yolkie: The protein tracker that hatches

Log your food and your workouts. A chick keeps you on track.

Still in the egg. Hatching in a few weeks.

You train hard. Then you guess the food.

Some days you’re way under on protein, and nothing tells you.

Food trackers make it a chore.

Weigh every gram, count every calorie. Most of us give up.

So we built Yolkie.

A tracker for people who lift. Protein comes first, the rest is optional.

Food and training, side by side.

Hit your protein, keep calories sensible and see your workouts in one place.

Plus a chick to keep you going.

It eats when you log. Skip a meal and it sulks.

A day with Yolkie

Log a meal. Pick a recent meal, tap a drawn dish or scan the barcode.

The Log screen: recent meals with their protein, search, and a barcode button.

Tick off your workout. Push, pull, legs or rest. Yolkie has opinions.

The Today screen after legs day: the chick says Legs done. Stairs are your problem now.

Know what to eat next. See if you’re on track and get one idea that covers the rest.

The Today screen: 96 of 156 g protein, On track, and the next meal idea.

A chick that eats when you do

Every meal you log feeds it. Keep going and it grows up, all the way to something that benches.

Every background comes with a sign.
The shop: hats and eyewear for the chick, priced in Corn.
Hats. Obviously.

How much protein do you actually need?

Lifters do well on 1.6 to 2.2 g per kg of body weight a day, split over three or four meals. Type yours.

128–176 g a day. About 38 g a meal, over four meals. That’s a lot of eggs. Don’t look at me.

The quiz: What’s the goal? Build muscle, lean bulk, maintain or cut.
The app works out your own target from ten quick questions.

Free means free

  • Logging is free.
  • So is the barcode scanner.
  • No ads, ever.
  • Your chick grows either way.

Gentle mode hides any number you’d rather not see. Later on, Yolkie Gold will plan your whole day, but the basics stay free.

Ask the egg

What is Yolkie?

A protein tracker for people who lift. You log what you eat, a cartoon chick eats when you do, and the app tells you if you’re on track and what to eat next.

When can I get it?

It’s hatching in a few weeks, on iPhone, Android and the web. Follow Yolkie on TikTok and you’ll know first.

Is it free?

Logging, the barcode scanner, 30 days of insights, friends and the chick are free, with no ads. A paid plan, Yolkie Gold, adds a planned day and targets that adapt every week.

Do I have to count calories?

No. Protein comes first. Calories are there if you want them, and gentle mode hides the numbers altogether.

Is it a weight-loss app?

It’s built for lifters who want enough protein, whether you’re building, maintaining or cutting a little. It never rewards eating less.

What if I skip a day?

Your chick gets hungry, then gets over it. Rest days never break the streak, and a light day is one tap.

Which languages and countries?

English, German, French, Spanish and Romanian. Food search covers the US and Europe, with barcodes for packaged food.
