Términos de uso

These terms are the agreement between you and Yolkie (“we”, “us”) for using the Yolkie app on iPhone, Android and the web. By making an account, you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

You must be 16 or older. People aged 16 and 17 get extra safety limits in their plan. You can have one account, and it’s only for you.

Yolkie is not a medical device and doesn’t diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Its targets and tips are general nutrition and training information for healthy people. Food values come from databases and labels and can be wrong.

Talk to a doctor or dietitian before changing how you eat if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, take medication or have had an eating disorder. If you are struggling with food or your body, please reach out to a professional or a local helpline.

Keep your sign-in details safe: what happens on your account is your responsibility. Give true answers in the quiz, because your plan is built from them.

Yolkie is free to use. Yolkie Gold is an optional paid subscription with extra features. The price, the billing period and what’s included are shown before you buy.

You can buy Gold in the App Store, on Google Play, or on the web with Stripe. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your store or Stripe charges you.

When a free trial is offered, it’s one per person. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into a paid subscription and you are charged.

Cancel where you subscribed: in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, or for the web, through the “Manage subscription” link we give you. Gold stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn’t cancel a subscription.

Apple and Google decide refunds for purchases made through them, under their own rules. For web purchases, write to social@yolkie.fit.

If you live in the EU and buy Gold on the web, you can withdraw within 14 days of buying, without giving a reason. If you asked for Gold to start straight away, we refund the part of the period you didn’t use. To withdraw, write to social@yolkie.fit. Purchases in the App Store and on Google Play follow Apple’s and Google’s rules.

Corn, eggs and items are earned by using the app. They can’t be bought, sold, traded or exchanged for money, and they have no value outside Yolkie. We may change how they work. If your account ends, they end with it.

Your display name and anything you post must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, violent, misleading or someone else’s. Don’t harass anyone, pretend to be someone else, spam, or try to break, copy or overload the app.

To report a person or content, see Report. We may rename you, remove content, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we tell you why.

Some text, such as weekly reviews, is worded by an AI model and marked as AI. The numbers behind it come from our own calculations. AI text can still be wrong or odd: don’t treat it as advice from a professional.

The app, the chick, its art and its words belong to us. You may use them only in the app, for yourself. Some food data comes from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License, and from the US Department of Agriculture’s FoodData Central.

You can stop using Yolkie and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we ever stop the app, we tell you in advance, and if you paid for Gold on the web, we refund the unused part.

We work to keep Yolkie running and its numbers right, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or intent, or any right you have as a consumer that the law doesn’t let us limit. Apart from that, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

We may update these terms as the app changes. We update the date at the top and tell you in the app before an important change applies. If you don’t agree, you can delete your account.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can take a claim to the courts there. Please write to us first: most things are sorted quickly.
